This article explains how students can view their grades, instructor feedback, and Turnitin Similarity Reports for Turnitin assignments submitted in Canvas.


(1) Open the Turnitin Assignment

  • Click Assignments in the course navigation (or access the assignment through Modules).
  • Click the name of the Turnitin Assignment.

2) Viewing Grade & Feedback

(a) In the Your Work section, click the Title, Grade, Similarity score or Feedback icon to open Turnitin Feedback Studio.

Important: Turnitin Feedback Studio opens in a new window. If nothing appears, make sure pop-ups are enabled in your browser.

(3) Navigating Turnitin Feedback Studio

Within Turnitin Feedback Studio, you can access the following key areas and more: 

(a) Grade: Located at the top of the page.

(b) Similarity Report: Open the Similarity tab. 
Important: Similarity Reports help you understand citation and originality expectations.

(c) Feedback: Open the Feedback tab.

(d)  Inline Comments: Scroll through your submission to view inline comments.
