Support for Turnitin is vendor-hosted.
Turnitin Gotchas & Pitfalls
- Turnitin does not detect plagiarism or cheating.
- Turnitin can detect how similar a student submission is to other documents found in their database. Similarity Reports must then be reviewed by the instructor to determine IF further action should be taken.
Turnitin Feedback Studio
When a Turnitin assignment is created in Canvas, Turnitin Feedback Studio is made available to access directly from the assignment page. Feedback Studio allows instructors to view the Similarity Report, then provide feedback and assess student work with access to Turnitin’s suite of grading tools.
