Summary
This article guides instructors through using the Migrate option to convert an existing Classic Quiz to a New Quiz.
Things to Know
- Classic Quizzes are NOT deleted when performing a Migration.
- The migrated quiz is unpublished by default.
- Review all questions and settings after migration.
- Some question types may convert differently (e.g., dropdown → fill-in-the-blank)
- When no longer needed, rename or remove the Classic Quiz to avoid confusion.
Navigate to the Quizzes Page
- From the Course Navigation, open the Quizzes page.

Migrating a Classic Quiz
- Locate the Classic Quiz you plan to migrate.
- To the right of the Classic Quiz name, click the Options menu (three dots) and select Migrate.
- A Migration in progress message will display.

Review the Migrated Quiz
- To the right of the migrated New Quiz name, click the Options menu (three dots) and select Build.
- Review all questions, formatting, answers, and settings.
