What is New Quizzes?
New Quizzes is the next-generation quizzing engine in Canvas that will eventually replace Classic Quizzes. It offers enhanced features, improved question types, and better integration with Canvas tools to support more flexible and accessible assessment experiences.
Prepare for New Quizzes - Spring 2027
Beginning Friday, December 18, New Quizzes will replace Classic Quizzes as the default quiz tool in Canvas.
New Quizzes is currently available alongside Classic Quizzes, allowing faculty to begin using it before the transition.
