Semi-Annual Request Deadline: April 1 and November 1
Significant lead time is needed to move requests through the review process. Additionally, there are multiple departments/teams involved in the process.
Note: There is no guarantee that an LTI will be available for the semester it is requested.
Summer/Fall Semesters
LTIs requested by April 1 will be considered for installation for use during the upcoming Summer/Fall semesters. The review/approval process shall occur during April.
Spring Semester
LTIs requested by November 1 will be considered for installation for use during the upcoming Spring. The review/approval process shall occur during November.
Installation Timeline
New LTIs that have completed the review/approval process are installed times annually.

Three-Step Review
Step 1: Evaluation
Note: The listed criteria are used to evaluate each LTI request. Evaluation Criteria - must meet all 4 criteria to be approved.

Step 2: Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)*
The MOU verifies that each vendor agrees to policies governing ownership of data, data privacy, data compromise responses, etc.
If a vendor does not have a MOU on record, that includes use of the LTI; ITS shall initiate the acquisition of the MOU with Materials Management. Risk Acceptance for MOUs In some cases, an IT Security risk acceptance may be required if a vendor does not agree to terms of the MOU. If this occurs, IT Security shall contact the requestor’s department to sign a risk acceptance.
Step 3: Installation & Documentation
Once an LTI has successfully completed review/approval process, ITS shall commence the LTI installation process and may curate or create help resources and documentation for installed LTI that require specific steps for set up and use.
