Banner Data Access Request

Response times are dependent on receipt of approvals.

Overview

The Banner Data Access Request service allows employees to request access to specific data within Banner for performing academic and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • The employee who will access the data must submit the request.
  • A separate request must be submitted for each module.
  • In the description field, the requestor must provide a justification for access.

Approval Process

Requests for access to Banner data must be approved by the requestor’s manager and the data owner. This ensures appropriate access to and use of Banner data.

  1. Supervisor: After submission, the requestor’s supervisor is automatically notified to approve access.
  2. Data Owner: After manager approval is received, the Data Owner is automatically notified to approve access.
    • Data Owners reserve the right to disapprove access.
  3. ITS: Provides access and notifies the requestor.
