Microsoft Education - Sharing OneDrive Files in Canvas

Summary

The Microsoft Education integration allows instructors and students to embed and share OneDrive files in Canvas. 

This articles outlines how to share OneDrive files in the Rich Content Editor (RCE) and in Modules.

Share Using the Rich Content Editor (RCE)

(1) From the RCE editing menu, select Apps (plug icon) > Microsoft Education.

(2) Select a file then choose how it should be displayed in the RCE.

  • Embed: Embeds the file into the RCE. 
  • Link: Creates a link to the file.

(3) Save or Save and Publish your Canvas content.

Share Using Modules

(1) From the module title bar, select the + button.

(2) Choose External Tool > Microsoft Education.

(3) Choose Select OneDrive file to locate the file.

(4) Choose a file then click Select.

(5) Click Add Item to add the file to the module.
