Data Security and Protection
- Only data classified as tiers 0 and 1 are approved for use within Microsoft Copilot. Confidential and restricted data are NOT approved [Policy 308: Data Classification and Handling].
- Microsoft Copilot is approved for use because it offers appropriate data protection from Microsoft.
- Using Microsoft Copilot helps prevent the leakage of confidential information, while using non-approved AI tools violates federal regulatory compliance requirements AND University policy.
