IT Onboarding for New Employees provides the essential IT information new employees need to get started working at the University.
Your FSU Credentials
Email Address & Temporary Password
- Your FSU email address will be sent to the personal email you provided to Human Resources.
- In a separate message, also sent to your personal email, you will receive a temporary password.
- Use this temporary password to log into Microsoft 365 to Reset Your Password AND set up your Microsoft 365 account.
Password Requirements
- Your new password must be a minimum of 15 characters.
- It cannot contain your name and cannot be a recognizable word.
- Your password must contain at least:
- One uppercase letter
- One number
- One special character
- Your password must be changed once a year.
Your Microsoft 365 Account
Your Microsoft 365 Account is used to log into most systems at the University.
Your Computer & Phone Number
After HR or your supervisor has submitted the request to create your account, ITS will follow up to provide your computer and phone number (if applicable).
- Your department/position may not include issuance of a computer and phone number.
- FSU is a Teams Voice campus. Calls are placed and received in Microsoft Teams.

FSU Engage provides a centralized platform where you can access essential tools, information, and services seamlessly. Whether you're a student or employee, this portal is designed to streamline your experience and enhance your interaction with various university services.

Attending an IT Onboarding Session (Optional)
Employees can opt to schedule an IT Onboarding Session. During this session, the IT Trainer will guide you through the IT Onboarding process.

On 1ST and 3rd Fridays, ITS sends the Technology @ FSU Email. This communication contains valuable information about IT training, resources and news. Additionally, you will also receive urgent IT notifications from this account.
